Jicarilla owned department which serves over 1,500 consumers, has 300 miles of line and serves the Jicarilla Apache Reservation.

New Connects/Construction hook-ups
If you're looking for electrical power to your new house, rental unit, or building then we are the institution to call. We provide all electrical services to the Jicarilla Apache Nation and its people.
Electrician Work
JANPA offers licensed electricians to look at your electrical needs. Come into our office today and fill out a service order. Please provide a working phone number and our Service Order Clerk will give you a call when you are scheduled to have an electrician over and to discuss any other billing details.
Payment Methods
JANPA offers multiple ways to make a payment on your account.

You can call and make a payment on your account with your debit/credit card. There is a convenience fee of 2.45% applied in addition to your payment.

You may also come inside our office and pay using your credit/debit card, cash, money orders, personal checks and/or cashier checks.

JANPA also has payment drop boxes located outside our office and at the tribal building. The JANPA Drop-Box located at the Tribal Building currently only accepts Money Orders or Cashier Checks. Personal Checks or Cash will not be accepted.

JANPA also offers other locations to make payments on your account. Below you can find more information on locations to make a payment.
JANPA and JANPA Drop-Boxes observe all Federal and Tribal holidays and tribal working hours. All payments received on Saturdays and Sundays will be processed the following Monday.
Tree Trimming
We offer a tree trimming service, if you should suspect that any trees might interfere with any power lines please give us a call. We can properly address and safely remove any trees.
*For the safety of yourself and others, please do not cut any trees or branches in close or direct contact with any power line, without contacting the Jicarilla Power Authority.
Payment Arrangements
We at JANPA strive for a good relationship with our customers. If for any reason you cannot make your payment before a due date please feel free to contact us to schedule a time to discuss a payment arrangement.
Currently all arrangements must be done in person and only those who are the main account holders can make arrangements.
ABOUT
The Jicarilla Apache Nation Power Authority (JANPA) was established as a department. It was first located in the Jicarilla Apache Nation Administration Building, and is now located in a new office/warehouse at 50 North Mundo Drive. In 2016, an agreement was made with Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative, Inc. to take over the southern end of the reservation. Today, JANPA serves all consumers and businesses located on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation.
